Large-format porcelain
Porcelain tile in sizes from 600x1200 upward, balancing visual continuity with standard tiling methods.
Large-format porcelain sits between conventional tile and full slab: sizes such as 600x1200 give fewer joints and a calmer field than 600x600, while remaining within the skills of a good tiling crew.
Handling is the practical difference. Levelness, rectified edges and a levelled install matter more as format grows, and the substrate must be flatter than for small tiles.
For walls and countertops that must read as a single surface, sintered stone slabs take over where tiles stop. For floors and high-coverage areas, large-format porcelain delivers most of the visual benefit at a lower installed cost.
